Doing What is Possible

“You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

The above quote from Eleanor Roosevelt is so inspiring to me.

Often, we are defeated before we even do anything because our mind tell us that we cannot do it.

What we think actualize the reality of our lives.

So, when you think you cannot do something, invariably, you will not do it.

Why? Because your internal voice has already told you that it cannot be done. Therefore, why even try?

However, true courage means that you face up to what you fear, what you think you do not have the capability to do.

A lot of times, we sell ourselves short - we convince ourselves that we do not have the talent, the ability, the skills to do the things that we need to do.

The warrior spirit within us tells us that we can. We need to listen to it and say to ourselves that whatever the outcome, I am going to give it a go and try my very best to succeed in what "they" say cannot be done.

That is the achievements of the human race - every breakthroughs and new inventions comes about because the courageous human spirit refuses to believe that it cannot be done.

So, listen to your internal warrior - do what you think that cannot be done. Strive on despite whatever challenges is in front of you.

When you succeed, when you crossed over to the other side and when you realized the victory of the battle, you will be glad that you have done that...

So, live your dreams big!!

Your Dreams

"Every second you spend thinking about someone else's dreams, you take time away from your own."

Awaken Your Dreams

"Logic can bring you from point A to B;
But imagination can take you everywhere"

- Albert Einstein

We exist in a mundane world where we live our lives very logically, with each action and decisions taken in a practical way.

We see our daily routines as simple as setting goals, figuring the way to reach it and then just taking the action to get there.

However, our lives would be very much richer if we just take some time to dream and let our imagination soar.

It is during these periods of silent, of "Me" time that we can set our minds free and just think about the "What Ifs" and the "Why Nots".

It is these dreams arising from our imaginations that allows for breakthroughs and inventions that changes our lives as well as affect the lives of people around us.

Apple was just an idea that Steve Job imagined in his mind and brought to reality in his garage.

And Facebook was just a big dream of making connections with everybody that has grown to more than 500 million friends around the whole world.

So, do not be afraid to use your imagine. Dream big.

And most important of all, take the necessary actions to awaken your dreams, and manifest a beautiful reality here on earth...

Wings

I could have been a giant said the bonsai tree
But someone bound my roots and held me down
I could have reached for heaven said the snowy owl
But they clipped my wings and kept me on the ground
I think I heard them tell me that they love me
And care for me, without them I would die
Oh but what's the use of roots if you can't spread them
And what's the use of wings if you can't fly

I could have been a singer said the miner bird
But they caged me and they told me what to say
I could have run forever said the pony
But they bridled me and made me go their way
I think I heard them tell me that they love me
And care for me forever, so it seems
Oh but what's the use of voices without freedom
And what's the use of living others' dreams

Why do people cage the things they love the most
Is it simply that they fear to be alone
If you give your love its freedom it may stay a while
If it leaves you it was never yours to own

I could have found adventure said the angel fish
Now my world's so small there's nowhere left to go
I could have ruled a kingdom said the lion
Now the land inside my head is all I know
I think I heard them tell me that they love me
And care for me, and tell me it's alright
Oh but what's the use of life without adventure
And what's the use of strength if you can't fight

Why do people cage the things they love the most
Is it simply that they fear to be alone
If you give your love its freedom it may stay a while
If it leaves you it was never yours to own

If you give your love it's freedom it may stay a while
If it leaves you it was never yours to own

Believe That You Can

In each of our life's journey, the most important thing that we possess is the ability to think and discern between what is right and wrong.

Our mind, the life experiences that we have and the values that we were exposed to help us develop our belief systems.

What we believe help shape our responses and actions to the world around us.

We set goals and dreams that we want to achieve.

But how many of us can truly say that we have achieved all that we dreamt?

Why is it that some people seem to be able to fulfilled their dreams and live a fulfilled life of success and happiness?

It is because these people simply believe that they can. They believe that they can achieve all that they set out to do.

Life's battles do not alway go the strongest, the fastest or the richest.

It goes to the person who thinks he can and believes it in every fibre of his being...

Olympic Dreams And Hopes

Well, now that the Beijing Olympics is over, everybody is going back to their mundane lives.

After 3 weeks of living vicariously through the feats and achievements of the world's best athletes in the sporting world, marveling at their perfections and performances, life goes on. We are back to our routines of living our daily lives, waking up, going to work and all the mundane stuff.

However, please do give this thoughts some contemplation : - Did you feel inspired by all that you have seen and felt watching the Olympics? Did you not feel the commitments, the dedications and sacrifices of the participants chasing a medal in their respective sports? Did you not root for your heroes and felt the highs when they achieved the gold medal and the lows when they failed?

Think back those 3 weeks when you were really Present, caught up in the Olympics fever and the sporting spirit and fair-play that the Olympics represents. Did you not feel very alive?

Wouldn't it be good if you can bottle these feelings so that you can get access to it when you are stressed in your daily lives, challenged by problems and the burdens of living, when you felt like you really need a break?

Yes, you can. You can file away these experiences and feelings that you had felt when you were watching your Olympics heroes achieved their greatest dreams. And access them when you need it most - the feelings of exhalations, the highs and the good-will. Just close your eyes, breath deeply and access your memories...

And do not forget the Olympics spirits, the dreams and hopes that were shared with the world during that short period of time.

And finally, see if, by your action and contributions, you can share these dreams and hopes with the next generation of children, so that they will have a goal, a dream to aspire towards. Inspire them to strive for a higher goal, a meaning in their lives and to live vibrantly...
